Twine & Twig incorporates philanthropy into the core values & culture of our brand. Our philanthropy record reads more like a diary because we choose causes that affect us personally and are near and dear to our hearts both medically and environmentally. In a digital age where it has become so easy to give money through social media outlets, we are excited to offer a unique and tangible way for our customers to be a part of our mission. Our hope is that these pieces will be a conversation starter about different philanthropy objectives as well as becoming a symbol to remember your good deed. We love encouraging people to shop for a cause! To date Twine & Twig has donated over $50,000 to a variety of charities and organizations.

LOWCOUNTRY LAND TRUST

Elizabeth and Jacquelyn were honored to introduce the Low Country Collection through the Garden & Gun Feb/March 2018 issue, as they share a mutual respect for tradition and connection to the land. In honor of their grandfather, they released the Low Country Collection, a limited run of 100 one-of-a-kind necklaces. Their late grandfather, an avid shell collector, instilled in them early on in their childhood to appreciate the simple things in life and to enjoy and respect nature’s beauty. In an effort to help preserve the environment from which these necklaces were inspired and shells collected, 100% of the profits were donated to the Lowcountry Land Trust.

MAKE A WISH

Jacquelyn's daughter Banks was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor when she was two and had brain surgery at Duke Hospital following that diagnosis. "While we will never forget the fear and sadness experienced with Banks during her diagnosis and treatment for a brain tumor, we are honored to have been able to support others in similar circumstances and help bring joy to children with life-threatening medical conditions through the Make-A-Wish Foundation." - Jacquelyn StaffordThe cause is near and dear to their hearts and they were honored to raise $15,000 to go towards granting two children's wishes.

Twine & Twig has teamed up with Everything But Water to introduce the NEW Water Collection. WATER IS EVERYTHING

Twine & Twig teamed up with Everything But Water to introduce the Water Collection. Elizabeth and Jacquelyn participated in a beach clean up in Miami in 2017 to bring awareness to the growing health crisis oceans around the world face. The sisters were inspired to donate 25% of every item within the collection to the 5 Gyres Institute, an impactful, non-profit organization that is focused on reducing plastic pollution.

Breast Cancer Awareness

Twine & Twig has partnered with several charities that help with fighting breast cancer. For a pay it forward initiative during the month of October, Twine & Twig wanted to directly support their Charlotte Community tour by contributing to the Novant Health Cancer Care Centers in the Mecklenburg County. Novant's initiative and outside funding serves the uninsured and underserved women within the community. Last year alone, they were able to provide 500 free mammograms. Out of those 500 women, 30 resulted in breast cancer. Novant provided care for all 30 of those women and covered the cost of treatment. In addition to donating 15% of all proceeds, T&T wanted to use the time to help their customers pay it forward and allow them to gift a person with a symbol of strength and hope. With the purchase of any necklace from the Blush Collection, they had the option to send a free bracelet to someone they knew who has been impacted by Breast Cancer.

Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

The Leukemia stack was created in honor of Elizabeth and Jacquelyn's mother and grandmother. Both woman helped to instill in the girls the necessity of giving back, a set of values that the sisters are now trying to use to raise their own children. The Twine & Twig Trio Stack Bracelet set in honor of launched during Leukemia Awareness Month in 2018 and 100% of the proceeds were donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for the month of September.

time out youth

Elizabeth and Jacquelyn were inspired to launch a rainbow bracelet to help support friends who have faced challenges in becoming their authentic selves. Proceeds from the Rainbow Bracelet went to the Time Out Youth Center. Time Out Youth supports LGBTQ youth by offering vital programs, fostering unconditional acceptance, and creating safe spaces for self-expression through leadership, community support and advocacy.

ARTS FOR LIFE

Elizabeth and Jacquelyn have always had an appreciation for the arts. Their mother cultivated each sister's style and creative enthusiasm by putting them in art classes at age 4. Both sisters value the peace and joy that filling an empty canvas brings so they were excited to launch the the Splattered Collection. A percentage of sales were donated to the Arts for Life charity to help "put creativity, discovery and joy into the hands and hearts of children who need it the very most."

BVI RELIEF

The beautiful Caribbean holds so many special memories for the T&T family & many of their retailers are located in these beautiful islands, so Twine & Twig partnered with the Harris sisters to help support their BVI Relief Fund. They created the BVI Relief Organization for the community of the British Virgin Islands with the mission to help re-build the homes and spirits of Hurricane Irma victims. 100% of the proceeds from these bracelets were donated to the BVI Relief Fund.

St. john, virgin island school

It's moments like these that they cherish as mothers - teaching their children about random acts of kindness. The sisters had driven past this little local school all week during their stay in the Virgin Islands, and decided to stop in and surprise the children on their last day on the island. They had an abundance of kids necklaces that were used for an island photoshoot so Elizabeth + Jacquelyn and their children passed out over 25 bracelets & necklaces to these amazing children - there was so much joy for everyone.

surfrider Foundation

Twine & Twig has partnered with PaddleLKN and the Surfrider Foundation to design a trio stack that resembles the colors and tones of the lake. 100% of the proceeds from these bracelets will be donated to the Stand Up Paddle Board Fundraiser, PaddleLKN and the Surfrider Foundation.

Carolina strong

The Twine & Twig sisters were born and raised in North Carolina so their hearts were broken over the destruction of hurricane Florence. Elizabeth + Jacquelyn designed a Trio Stack Bracelet Set to help raise money for those affected in the Carolinas by Hurricane Florence. 100% of the proceeds from those bracelets was donated to the NC Disaster Relief Fund.

Houston SPCA

As lifelong animal lovers, Elizabeth and Jacquelyn were devastated by the flooding that happened when hurricane Harvey hit Houston. In honor of their four legged friends they donated a percentage from every "Bark Scarf" to the Houston SPCA to help the animals that were affected by the hurricane.
